28. Vacation from Vacation
Well this post is long overdue - got lazy, then got busy with work, but here it is.
Last weekend, I took a vacation to Bintan, Indonesia with a group…because our vacation in Singapore needed some spice. 3-day trip, check it out. I’ll post in 3 parts and let the pictures do the talking
Day 1: Arrival

21. It rained very hard today
In fact, it rained so hard that i had to use my umbrella in the bus. Yes, you read correctly. The rain seeped through the top of the bus and it was raining IN the bus. Amazing.
Also, off to Indonesia for the weekend! Get ready for some nice pictures in a few days
18. So, uh, I accidentally entered into a gameshow…
…and came out with a $100 voucher to use at any store in the mall! Funny story how it happened, but all you need to know is that I had only been in the mall for about 45 seconds before this guy with a mic came up to me and tricked me into being in some mall gameshow. It played like the price is right with a trivia portion about Singapore beforehand (which, of course, being the only foreigner, I had extensive knowledge on). However, with some stroke of luck, and a few mouthed hints from my friends in the crowd, I ended up taking second place. Woooot.

Penfolds, supposedly Australia’s best wine…of course they’d say that of themselves. Nevertheless, I tasted
17. So keeping this updated daily has proven too difficult
so i’ll do a few a week instead. And for those who were confused, the number is the number of days since I’ve left home.
Here’s a picture I saw at an ice cream shop to keep you entertained while I think about what to post
13. Uh…
A flying cockroach just flew into my room. Not to mention, there are 11 bug bites on my left FOREARM alone from last night. More on my legs and body.
Help.
Steak, vegetables, and eggs - some assembly…or self-cooking required
12. Spain vs. Switzerland
Watching the world cup with people from around the world has been so exciting these last few days because every other country is 12073982 times more into soccer, or should i say football, than Americans are.
Today added a new dimension to it: we watched it with a bunch of professors in the staff lounge on campus. These older folk get really excited! (and loud) when things happen. It’s pretty great.

11.2 Ok, I think it’s safe to say I’ve satisfied my burger craving
Oh dear, yup I certainly overdid it.

11.1 Watch out world: Andrew Huang is testing for a license
Me: there's chili on EVERY food you eat. mr huang would not survive in this country
Vicky: yeah he wouldn't survive in many countries
Me: oh did he tell you? he's testing for his license in like 3 weeks. we're all gonna die
Vicky: haha yeah he mentioned it, something like july 7th. he's been driving, he told me your reaction: WTF
Me: it's the end of the world, as we know it. no. it's just the end of the world
Vicky: hahahaha you're so lucky you're where cars can't reach
i just hope i survive until this friday
thank god i'm going to cairo its safer there
